meaning: fellow worker, working together
Emily Doane and Devan Grayson met in 2016 during their graduate training at Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, FL. It was during that time, they began dreaming about creating a counseling practice together out of a belief that working together towards a common goal is more impactful than working individually.
7 years later, they co-founded Sunergos Counseling Collective with the hope of coming alongside clients to help them embrace their dignity in the face of pain and suffering. Our desire is for clients to feel empowered to move freely into the world as they connect with their own story and with others.
Our Core Values
Agency
We believe in empowering our clients to assert their full sense of agency, both in the counseling room and outside of it. We long to partner with clients, utilizing our sense of agency to empower clients to find their voice and use their own.
Professional Integrity
We value integrity both in and out of the counseling room. We aspire to maintain an excellence in clinical standards while also maintaining a commitment to growth, both professionally and personally. Our counselors are well acquainted with doing the hard work of counseling themselves.
Truth
We believe in collaborating with clients to help them explore the truth of their lives, the good and the bad, in order for them to live with greater freedom. By doing so, we long for clients to live fully into the person they were created to be.
